General Builder/Maintenance Person

Permanent, Full Time – 39 hours per week 

Based near Whitby, North Yorkshire 

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus 23 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pension and additional benefits.

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and versatile General Builder/Maintenance Person to join our small, dedicated Property Maintenance Team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality building repair, restoration and maintenance, and who enjoys working on a wide variety of traditional and modern buildings.
You will play a key role in preserving and enhancing the Estate’s residential, commercial and agricultural properties, contributing directly to the Estate’s long-term stewardship and reputation for high standards.

Painter & Decorator

Permanent, Full Time – 39 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and conscientious Painter & Decorator to join our Property Maintenance Team. This role involves internal and external painting, decorating and finishing work across a wide variety of buildings — from traditional cottages and farmhouses to modern commercial units and holiday accommodation.

Your craftsmanship will play an important role in upholding the Estate’s high standards and enhancing the character and beauty of our built environment.

Accounts Assistant

Part Time – 14 hours per week ( Monday & Tuesday)
Based at Lythe, near Whitby
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus holidays, pension and additional benefits

About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Accounts Assistant to support day-to-day financial administration. You will work closely with the Accounts Manager and external accountants to ensure accurate processing and timely payments while helping to maintain strong financial controls.

Mulgrave Estate are looking for committed volunteers to work on this major country estate set within the beautiful landscape of the North York Moors.

We currently have a vacancy for countryside volunteers to undertake a variety of tasks expanding the public access opportunities across the moors, dales and coast at Mulgrave. The work will be outdoors and will give the right volunteer a chance to show their skills in helping to create paths, building footbridges, installing gates as well as other countryside management tasks.

Full training will be given by our dedicated staff and we look forward to meeting anyone interested in volunteering time and effort to make our special estate even better in the future.
