Work is due to commence this week converting a complex of farm buildings in Lythe to a children’s day nursery with additional services such as a holiday club, toy shop and community space. Planning permission was obtained with a subsequent tender exercise during last year and Twenty-Five(York) Ltd have been appointed as the Principal Contractor. The buildings are owned by Mulgrave Estate who are part-funding the project. The project has also been rewarded some grant funding obtained through the Rural Growth Development Project.”Emma has over 15 years’ experience in the sector and currently runs a popular and successful childcare setting in Lythe from converted outbuildings at her home. This project will enable Emma to expand her existing provision significantly which is currently in high demand, to cater for many more families in the local area. The barns have been carefully designed to meet the needs of the nursery and their unique ethos, including large outdoor play spaces and sufficient parking for both staff and visitors.
