Lot 1 – Murkside fields (W3W ///factually.ruled.hung)
82.28ha (203.31 acres) of moorland, in bye and valley side grassland is available at Murkside between Egton Bridge and Goathland. Access is via gated entrances off the Randymere road or via the track to Murkside. The land provides haylage and/or grazing for sheep and / or cattle for the summer season on this upland hill farm. The boundaries consist of a mixture of drystone walls and fences which are adequately gated to allow controlled movement of livestock.
The SSSI moorland can only accommodate up to 6 sheep due to a Low Livestock number option.
A free water supply to troughs is available where they are installed.
There are a number of agri-environment agreements based around Countryside Stewardship low input measures and SFI soil management on the land.
Lot 2 – Cinder Hill fields (W3W ///handrail.changed.spearing)
40.47ha (100.00 acres) of mixed upland grassland and wood pasture is available on this hill farm area just outside Goathland. Fed by a spring water supply and single roadside trough it is split into 14 separate parcels providing haylage and/or grazing for cattle and /or sheep throughout the summer months. The boundaries consist of a mixture of drystone walls and fences which are adequately gated to allow control of movement of stock. Adjacent to the western boundary is Egton High Moor, the lot is adequately fenced to prevent straying of livestock onto the moor.
Access to the land is via gateways at the junction of the Julian Park Farm crossroads. The woodland in the centre of the lot is included and accessible by livestock.
All of the land is subject to an SFI agreement held by the estate for soil management purposes.
Lot 3 –Eden House and Dunsley Moor fields (W3W ///bead.lower.instance / ///readings.afterglow.traffic)
40.40ha (99.82 acres) of mixed grazing is available on the perimeter of Hutton Mulgrave (Skelder) plantation. Approximately 50ac is made up of lowland heathland. All of the land parcels are adequately fenced with gated access. There is a natural spring on Eden House, a 7000 litre bowser can be made available by prior arrangement with the estate for the other areas.
Access to the land is via the entrance opposite Skelder car park or via Kitter Green Lane.
All of the parcels are subject to a Countryside Stewardship agreement mainly around low input options. There are a number of Scheduled Monuments on the land.
