The Mulgrave Way, Foss Mill Crossing and Guard House Way guide you through some of the most beautiful and varied landscapes across the estate. The new routes form a grid between the Esk Valley Way and the National Coastal Path.
Together, these waymarked walks take you through a rich mix of woodland, farmland, heritage features, and far reaching views across valleys and coast. Around two thirds of the combined network follows new concessionary paths created especially for this project. Whether you’re heading out for a full day adventure, a family walk, or a peaceful moment in nature, the Mulgrave Walks offer something for everyone.
The walks were personally designed by Lord Normanby who owns the Estate and is a keen walker. We are sincerely grateful to our farming tenants, whose co-operation and willingness to host new permissive paths through their fields and working landscapes has been central to bringing this project to life. Their support ensures that walkers can enjoy these beautiful routes while still respecting the rural working environment and country life.
